First Time Visitors:  Trouble Shooting & FAQ

Have any questions?  Or, just plain down on your luck?  Hopefully this page will resolve any issues you may have with this site.

1.  When keying in domain, another web site comes up.
     Reason:  Keying invalid domain causes the web server to serve the first IP in the
                   configuration file.
     Solution:  Key domain in either as www.earthandspace.info or earthandspace.info .

2.  A password prompt comes up when trying to access this site.
     Reason:  Backdoor access is no longer allowed.  Since this site is designed for those
                   who have an interest in space and astronomy, resources is being conserved by
                   reducing junk traffic from search bots and accidental visits.  
     Solution:  When getting the password prompt, just key in "Username: knock Password: 
                   knock" or press cancel to be redirected back to the gateway page.

3.  Video does not play back properly or can't hear audio.
     Reason:  Proper codecs must be installed into Windows Media for video files to play
                   During the encoding process, some higher audio frequencies was dropped out
                   order to save on disk space and bandwidth.
     Solution:  Install codecs and update your video player to Windows Media 9.0.  On the
                    audio, simply turn up the volume!

4.  Why am I receiving newsletter?
     Reason:  Receiving site newsletters is strictly voluntary.  You either signed up for my
                   newsletter or have your site linked to this one.
     Solution:  You can opt out of newsletter by removing your e-mail address via the
                    subscription page.  Addition and removal of address is fully automated!

5.  Does this site contain adware or spyware?
     Answer:  This site does not contain any adware or spyware.  After careful consideration,
                    it was decided to keep this site ad free.  Having pop ups makes the site non
                    user friendly.  Also, cookies are not stored in the web browser.  In the future,
                    I may install standard banner rotation.

6.  Why am I getting HTTP access denied?
     Answer:  It is policy to not allow access from my place of employment.  Home Interiors
                   and Westaff employees will need to access this site from their home computer.
                   Also, one will get banned for abusing this site in any shape or form.

7.  Are files on this site copyright?
     Answer:  Files on this site are either public domain or falls under the practice of fair use.

8.  I met you on HotOrNot.com.  Why have you not logged into chat ware?
     Answer:  I typically do not use chat ware.  Sorry...MS Office 2000 is my primary means
                   of communicating online.  Generally, If one does not respond to my e-mail, I
                   simply don't write that person again.  That's all I will say about HotOrNot.com.
