likeness ends here! This is the hottest
world in the solar system where
temperature is hot enough to melt lead at
800 degrees Farenheit. The surface
pressure is the same as being 3000 feet
under Earth's oceans. Venus is the only
planet to rotate backwards so you the sun
would rise on the western horizon. Like
Mercury, a day on Venus is longer than a
year. One day is 243 Earth days while one
year is 225 days. The surface of Venus is
about 500 million years old with low
lying plains and large mountains. The
interior of the planet is quite similar
to Earth. |
