This program Hallo northern sky is a simple windows application which plots an electronic version of the night sky. It displays all stars till magnitude 8.0 (or 9.5) and 8415 deep sky objects. It also shows the planets, Moon, Sun, the Jovian moons, phases of the Moon and inner planets, rings and moons of Saturn and some minor planets and comets.

There are two versions.  The small version  comes with only the SAO star database and is 8 MB in file size.  The larger version comes bundled with Tycho II database (2.5 million stars) and PPM star database (470,000 stars).
