Hello and welcome to Alpha Centauri's Universe!  Here you'll find over 3000 space/astronomy related images, 1000 of pages of text, 100's of video clips, software titles, and much more.  In essence, this site is a colossal collection of material gathered off the internet over the years.  This site is clearly intended for those who have an interest in space and astronomy.

If you are a first time visitor or having trouble with this site, please visit the link for first time visitors for help and trouble shooting.  Cable or DSL internet connection is required for all video, streaming media, and some software downloads.  It's recommended but not required to have high speed access for images only.

In the planetarium, there are three tour levels.  For novices, it is recommended that one begins with the Zip Tour after which one may go on to the Quick Tour.  The first two levels will familiarize you with the location of planets in our solar system and give you a heads up on the types of galaxies that are out there.

As a space enthusiast, the intentions is to share my interest and knowledge of our universe with fellow citizens.  This site can be used for school research (grades 1-12) but is not recommended for college level research.  For college research, please refer to resources in the web directory.  Moreover, college institutions should have site licenses to the Astronomical and Journal of Cosmology.  If your institution does not have access license for research grade material, you should consult with the dean of your department about acquiring such.

Hopefully, this is the beginning of your quest to better understand the universe and environment surrounding us.  My interest in space began when I was 12 years old.  It all started with a book checked out of the school library.  After reading it several times, I started to wonder what creatures might live on Titan, Venus, Mars, and even the clouds of Jupiter and Saturn!  It was during early adulthood when my interest in space and astronomy was rekindled.  Believe it or not, a web site struck the kindling of light!  Then, I recalled a project about the planets done in high school.  Soon after, Alpha Centauri's Universe was born in October, 1997.

All is said, I hope you enjoy your visit :-)
